Aiwan-i-Quaid-e-Azam

Scope of the Project

The creation of Pakistan was a miracle of twentieth century and its architect is no other than Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Pakistan is now 63 years old but unfortunately, we as a nation, could not construct a building which truly matches the stature of our great leader. It is the need of the hour to familiarize our nation particularly the younger generation with the Person of Quaid-i-Azam who changed the map of the world to our benefit. In this context, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust decided to construct Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam at Johar Town, Lahore.

The land for the construction of Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam was purchased by Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust from Lahore Development Authority in 1992-93. Its total area is 48 Kanals and the covered area of Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam would be 224,845 SFT. The estimated cost of this project would be Rs. 636 million.

Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam will serve as a repository of the freedom movement and will act as an educational and research center for disseminating the thoughts and achievements of Quaid-i-Azam. The complex will be a centre for endless motivation activities throughout the year.

Quaid-i-Azam Gallery

In this gallery, more than 1000 historical photographs & portraits, murals relating to Quaid-i-Azam, Pakistan Movement and Muslim Rule in the sub-continent and replicas of Pakistan-Movement related historical buildings would be displayed.

Auditorium

An Auditorium would be constructed with the projected capacity of 1000 persons along with Adjacent Committee/Conference Rooms each for 100 persons. It would be used to arrange different seminars and conferences on important National days as well as National & International issues.

Documentation Centre

It will comprise of a library which will consist of approximately one hundred thousand Pakistan related books, documents and reference materials along with latest IT facilities for scholars and readers. There will be a TV & Broadcasting Section, Map Room, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Website Room and an online Multimedia Studio.

Training and Research Centre

A Quaid-i-Azam Training and Research Centre would be established in Aiwan-i-Quaid-i-Azam to promote ideology-oriented training & research. In this centre, inter-provincial training workshops for teachers, students, journalists, members of legislative bodies, chambers of commerce and other organizations would be organized.

Boarding House

To promote national unity and inter-provincial harmony, training and teaching classes would be arranged for different sections of society belonging to all the five provinces of Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. To facilitate the participants of these training and teaching classes, a boarding house will be constructed with 100 Rooms.

Miscellaneous

There will be a press and publication block, including a printing press with proper storage facility. There would be a Cafeteria for researchers, readers and visitors. A mosque would be constructed with the capacity to accommodate 100 namaziz. A beautiful Martyrs Memorial would be constructed to pay homage to countless named and unnamed martyrs who gave their lives for the attainment of freedom. A shop for books and souvenirs would also be set up.
