Handicrafts Exhibition
A state-of-the-art Madar-i-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah Handicrafts Exhibition was held starting from April 26, 2003 to May 01, 2003 to give boost to women hand-made crochet work, embroidery work, silver lacing, block printing, hand-made dolls, artificial jewellery, branch-made baskets, leather-made different items under the auspices of Nazaria Pakistan Trust and Tehreek-e-Pakistan Workers Trust in Madar-i-Millat Park, in collaboration with the Government of the Punjab, Punjab Council of the Arts, Punjab Small Industries Corporation, Social Welfare Department and Pakistan Horticultural Authority.
Prominent celebrities who grace the occasion among others include Chief Minister Punjab Ch Pervaiz Ellahi, Governor Punjab Khalid Maqbool, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Nawa-i-Waqat Majid Nizami. Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, Minister for Commerce and Trade Humayun Akhtar, Minister for Education Zubaida Jalal, Minister Information Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, Adviser to PM for Women Welfare Begum Nelofar Bukhtiar, Begum Mehnaz Rafi and Dr Javed Iqbal.
